You were the expert.
Now you depend on people
with expertise you don’t have.
Before you were a manager, you were brilliant at something specific. You were the person people came to. Your confidence came from your expertise — and that expertise was real.
Then you were promoted. Suddenly you are responsible for developers, analysts, specialists and consultants whose domain knowledge you don’t share. The ground that always felt solid — knowing exactly what good looks like — has shifted. And nobody prepared you for that.
None of this means you are not cut out for leadership. It means the transition from expert to leader is one of the most significant — and most under-supported — shifts in any professional’s career. That is exactly what positive psychology coaching is for.
Positive Psychology Coach
I have spent 20 years trying
to help people succeed.
Coaching is where that
finally has a name.
Throughout my career in senior leadership across finance and investment management — at institutions including the Church Commissioners of England, Millennium Global Investments and the Qatar Investment Authority — I hired and worked with hundreds of people. Developers, analysts, project managers, consultants.
My job, as I always saw it, was to make the people around me successful. To find what someone was genuinely brilliant at and build around it. To help the whole team celebrate together.
I also experienced first-hand what happens when the support isn’t there. That combination — the satisfaction of watching people flourish, and the frustration of watching the system fail them — is what brought me to coaching. I now hold an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology and am a Certified Applied Positive Psychology Coach (CAPPC).

there is a programme for you.
All four programmes are grounded in the same evidence base — positive psychology research applied with precision to the real challenges of leadership and professional life.
Not motivation. Not quick fixes.
The actual science
of flourishing.
Positive psychology is one of the most rigorously researched fields in modern science. Every framework used in my coaching has been tested, validated and replicated — producing measurable, lasting results rather than temporary inspiration.
Seligman’s validated wellbeing framework — the primary measure of progress across all programmes. You start with a baseline and end with evidence of change.
A precise, evidence-based assessment of what you do naturally well — and a practical framework for deploying those strengths more deliberately in your role and your team.
Psychological flexibility, values-based action and the conditions for optimal performance — tools that produce genuine, lasting change rather than temporary improvement.
“I came into this programme feeling like I was failing at something everyone else seemed to find easy. Six months later I have a management philosophy, a way of working that actually sustains me, and — for the first time — I am genuinely proud of how I lead.”
